May 27, 2016

HEY EVERYONE, there was really nothing to blog this week because it was senior presentations. However to everyone that has finished, god bless, celebrate, you are done with high school. If you present next week good luck! Also make sure to have your lesson plan turned in the day before you present. If you presented today don't forget to do the reflection blog.

Signing out forever yours truly,
Samantha V. (Spoo)

Preparation for Graduation...

Important announcement:

Check in with your house teachers so that you can make sure the names on your graduation diplomas are spelled CORRECTLY and are FAMILIAR to you (and your family)...

Try to see the senior team TODAY, and if they, for some reason, do not have the list with our names that need to be checked (initialed for approval), check in with Ortega...I know she, for sure, has a list.

Be graceful and gracious my friends!

May 20, 2016

It's Friday, and today, we concluded our remaining exit interviews and visited the second floor of a museum.

Now, go have yourself a mental escape...I know you deserve one!

One day more...

And isn't it always one more day till your next step in evolution (perhaps even personal revolution)

Work:

HOMEWORK (third rotation)
  • Ortega: Notebooks will be checked for the last time tomorrow (during four core). This week was left to SSR and working on our FINAL assignments, which we determine ourselves.
    • all due by May 20):
      • scholarship essay(s)
      • resume construction/polishing
      • devising a graduation speech that you must try out for (writing it + reading it in front of the senior team)
        • competition is not expected to be intense...plus you get a chance, if you participate for the running, to leave a legacy of words...and share a different perspective on these past four years
  • Piggott: none...in perpetuity
    • Rivas: after you present your FINAL, you are free to sit back and relax
    • Holt: 3 assignments due by tomorrow as marked by the "*" in this photo...

    • Senior Project: last milestone to be conquered = final presentations beginning next week

    SCHEDULE OF EVENTS (third rotation)

    - Ortega: After a 20-minute SSR, we were left to our own devices once again...it was wise to tackle our FINAL assignments given that they ARE DUE TOMORROW

    - Pigott: We had a substitute teacher who gave us two suggestions on how to handle the free time dished out...

      - Rivas: More FINAL presentations commenced and concluded

      - Holt: a survey in review of Holt's performance this past year (as a teacher new to iPoly) was tackled and a numerical game was enjoyed!

--> don't forget to keep up to date with emailed notes from ASB

      ..."notes" include

that's tomorrow, if you need the clarification
