HOMEWORK:
- Ortega:Do a Goodreads assignment if you wish to receive an AE for your SSR grades this month (treat it as necessary extra credit); for next rotation, complete exercises one and two (pages 1-18) and three from exercise one on page 29 (pages 19-29) in "They Say, I Say" and make sure you are read up to page 29
- Exercises 1 & 2 from pages 1-15
- Piggott:None!
- Rivas: get ready to present and defend your bill as accompanied by a detailed powerpoint...your pro and con speeches (one and three minute) are due the day you and the groups you are critiquing present!
- Holt: textbook reading (pages 10-27) , Science videos due 1st rotation (the 14th)! The hab is due on the 16th.
- Ortega: As usual 20 minutes of SSR. The we were introduced to the book "They Say, I Say" .We then splintered off into pairs (with a person not of our MA groups) and worked with these reading pages 1-29 and completing exercises for both chapters (the intro and the official chapter one). As well as take notes from each bolded section. 2nd rotation (North): We went over the "They Say, I Say" Exercises.
- Piggott: Test on determinants & multiplying matrices.
- Rivas:We watched two bill group presentations after which we read our pros and cons speeches, after which we debated the potential of each bill on the table (on the 'floor' technically).
- Holt: First we took some notes on Kinematics. Then we received a worksheet with some practice problems. After we worked on yet another lab involving 3 problems making use of our knowledge in the topics of acceleration and velocity. We then, as a sort of finale to the class, built a ramp and calculated the speed of a tennis ball rolling down the said ramp.
- The Equations:

--> muffins shall be sold this Thursday in accordance with tradition!
--> HOPE club will be hosting a blanket and stuffed animal toy drive for the homeless throughout this year's last two weeks of school - it shall be a house competition with prizes awarded accordingly!
--> HOPE club will be hosting a waffle sale for neglected horses in the Pomona area this Thursday ($1.25 for a waffle with fun toppings)
