March 15, 2016

A straightforward blog post for a pretty straightforward week's plot...

Newsroll:

  • Ortega: keep up to date with your tackling of Literary Analysis reading due per your own decided pace; don't forget to work on those Non-Fiction Circle Presentations scheduled for the week of 3/29
  • Piggott: study for an upcoming verbal test based on the unit circle and its 16 points of reference (degrees around the circle and their partner ordered pairs)
    • Rivas: brainstorm your group-afililated board games to be
    • Holt: test retakes tomorrow once again during our phantom fourth blocks! Again, all the best wishes to you brave souls retaking this feral beastly existence...
    • Senior Project: there may or may not be a research check this Friday - I would complete three sources just in case there is - TBA

    SCHEDULE OF EVENTS (second rotation)

    - Ortega: After a 20-minute SSR, we reviewed the prompt that guided our EPT essay theses and responses of last week for assignment #56 (appropriately titled "EPT review").  We then had to close up shop earlier than wished due to unforeseen time constraints, and so getting back our graded - by 6 teachers - essays ended up being up to our own discretion for the time being.

    Rubric for our LF presentations

A very important reminder, and plea from Clark

    - Pigott: We alas entered the realm of "tangent" in hopes of understanding and conquering newfound knowledge...and we then made flash cards in studying for our upcoming unit circle verbal test!
      - Rivas:  Took some notes + and played some...no surprises here

      - Holt: We went over centripetal practice problems and then were given even more practice problems on the board, after which point in time we attempted acceleration problems that also included centripetal force.

--> don't forget to keep up to date with emailed notes from ASB

      other reminders include:
      - scheduling your CSU test by APRIL 15 if you want a Cal-state school as an option and are not yet eligible for math/english courses there (as determined by EAP/SAT scores for those subjects)
      - turning in your permission slip/discount form for the snack fundraiser to your ASB representatives ASAP (tomorrow ASAP) seeing that they will be counted as grades! If you need a copy of either of these, please do not hesitate in contacting your ASB reps...
