Happy Friday!  Need I say more...

Today we: watched "Gravity" in the MPR as our pioneering Powder Puff teams practiced their

Newsroll (in case you need a conveniently placed refresher):

HOMEWORK (third rotation)
  • Ortega: keep up to date with your tackling of Literary Analysis reading due per your own decided pace; don't forget to work on those Non-Fiction Circle Presentations scheduled for the week of 3/29
    • if you have received your EPT essays back, tape them into your notebooks under Assignment #56
  • Piggott: study for an upcoming verbal test based on the unit circle and its 16 points of reference (degrees around the circle and their partner ordered pairs/cos-sin-tan value)

A swell launching pad from which to study
  • Rivas: place the answers to the questions pictured below in your group binders, and strategize your board games in time for their debut

  • Holt: none...relax...de-stress....re-energize

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS (second rotation - for the rest of the houses)

- Ortega: After a 20-minute SSR with Ms. Lola, we discussed our Non-fiction novels in our circle groups, chiefly about the content read up until this checkpoint and its use of ethos, pathos, and logos - that is, the type and quality of 'feels' radiating from the text!  Ms. Lola gave us a P if we had what seemed like 'quality' trains of thoughts and words to say...

Today's schedule of events

Rubric for our LF presentations

A very important reminder, and plea from Clark

- Pigott: We partook in a knowledge-cementing championship in leu of our Unit Circle oral quiz next week...as we watched an NCAA basketball game!
    - Rivas:  Took some notes + and played some games...no surprises here...board-game brainstorming recommended...all while Ms. LaRussa capped our rowdiness and checked our progress

    - Holt: We took a quiz on Centripetal motion and its equations/mathematical strategies/concepts riddled with vocabulary after a 20-minute chunk of free time recommended for studying impending fate

--> don't forget to keep up to date with emailed notes from ASB

    other reminders include:
    - scheduling your CSU test by APRIL 15 if you want a Cal-state school as an option and are not yet eligible for math/english courses there (as determined by EAP/SAT scores for those subjects)
    - turning in your permission slip/discount form for the snack fundraiser to your ASB representatives ASAP (tomorrow ASAP) seeing that they will be counted as grades! If you need a copy of either of these, please do not hesitate in contacting your ASB reps...
