May 16, 2016

Hey all,

This is my last week as one of this blog's caravan of Scribes...but...I will conduct business no differently.

Treat this week as another week, and, in doing so, surprise yourself when you realize the end is near!

The suspense is real enough, so without further adieu:

HOMEWORK (first rotation)
  • Ortega: Notebooks will be checked for the last time soon. This week shall be left to SSR and working on our FINAL assignments, which we determine ourselves. Visible, agreeable progress on these will be checked by Ortega next time we see her. Your focus in class should be on one of the following options (all due by May 20):
    • scholarship essay(s)
    • resume construction/polishing
    • devising a graduation speech that you must try out for (writing it + reading it in front of the senior team)
      • competition is not expected to be intense...plus you get a chance, if you participate for the running, to leave a legacy of words...and share a different perspective on these past four years
  • Piggott: finish the review sheet handed out by today's substitute in anticipation for the Trig Identity Test re-take second rotation
    • Rivas: after you present your FINAL (a presentation on who you are and who you came to be at iPoly), you are free to sit back and relax
    • Holt: study for the WAVE QUEST set for second rotation by reviewing the study sheet Holt handed out (complete with practice problems reflecting those on the actual exam - the sheet accounts for how 80% of how the exam is organized), the vocabulary listed on that sheet, and labs attempted
    • Senior Project: last milestone to be conquered = final presentations beginning next week

    SCHEDULE OF EVENTS (first rotation)

    - Ortega: After a 20-minute SSR, we were left to our own devices...it was wise to tackle our FINAL assignments given that our progress on these will be checked by Ortega next rotation

    - Pigott: We labored through practice problems on a review worksheet polishing our knowledge on Trig Identities
      - Rivas:  More FINAL presentations commenced

      - Holt:  We took notes on certain topics we had not discussed yet, these including bow waves and sonic booms...we then had around fifteen minutes at the end of class left to our discretion (recommended for study time and talking with Holt if confusion has arisen)

--> don't forget to keep up to date with emailed notes from ASB

..."notes" include GRAD NITE COMING UP IN ABOUT 2 WEEKS (THE FRIDAY AFTER FINAL SENIOR PRESENTATIONS HAVE WRAPPED UP!)

      Hang on in there...

      - Lone Wolf
