The work load is light, so take flight before there nears a plight!
Congratulations to iPoly for raising 4,240 BOOKS through our very own Pusong Pinoy Book Drive these past 4 weeks, as hosted by HOPE Club, Diversity Club, and START Club...what a feat! Schiller's house raised the most, and so will be receiving their choice of a pizza or ice cream party in the coming weeks...
The Pennies for Patients fundraiser has also received its results: as a school we raised $82.54 (not bad; we'll do better next year) - with Ms. Thinnes' house taking the lead and fit to receive a pizza party for their valiant efforts!
To the those who were and weren't awarded, a warm round of applause for benefitting the poor in the Philippines and those currently battling blood cancers.
Now, go out and aspire to host your own inspiring moment...
--> A NOTE FROM COUNSELOR HUNZEKER:
Flashback (don't neglect what ultimately needs to get done):
HOMEWORK (second rotation)
- Ortega: two essay pages done by next week first rotation (2 page minimum, 12pt font, double space)
- Piggott: finish proof worksheet (with 5 problems) due next rotation
- Rivas: there will be 2 source analyses (#7,8) due this Friday...collegiate debates debut March 2!
- Holt: keep up to date with the material in your textbook readings as we enter a new lesson in the coming weeks...bring your rovers to class by the end of this week so that you may weigh them and conduct calculations with them - in preparation for eventually racing them against each other!
- Senior Project: the blog asking us to analyze our secondary answers to our essential questions will be due the 25th of this month!
SCHEDULE OF EVENTS (second rotation)
- Ortega: After talking a bit more on how to write a coherent thesis, we followed a normal routine for class time spent, with Ortega explaining the iSearch essay that we're going to write and our peers taking the first steps in writing it thereafter (breaking ground on yet another hefty component for senior project). An optional SSR followed for the last 20 minutes of class.
- Pigott: We went over the homework worksheet covering proofs even more so, and then reviewed once again for a bit.
- Holt: We were given a lecture-less block to work on a worksheet requiring us to analyze our rovers, and so apply what we have learned thus far in regards to motion to the motion exhibited by our aspiring machines (their use of force, etc.).
